WORKSHOP: “Using an Internal Family System approach in therapy with the Latinx Community.
Gaby Satarino, LPC-S, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and certified IFS psychotherapist. She has over 20 years of clinical experience working in various community mental health settings and a primary care setting providing trauma-informed psychotherapy serving adult and children victims of rape and domestic violence, prison populations, at-risk youth, homeless, victims of torture, and refugee populations.
This workshop will focus on the importance of integrating cultural principals in treatment with Latinx community when using Internal Family Systems. We will discuss an overview of Latinx cultural outlooks and values and how they impact mental health presentation.
